Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various television dramas by the time she reached the age of 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film), was critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra's career has seen her work on a number of notable international and national projects. The projects include British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others.
