Her hometown, Falls Church, is the place she's lived for most of her adult life. When she was a young girl, her passion for performing arts started while studying at the Washington School of Ballet. Participating in numerous school productions, she enjoyed an early success with her dance career. As she graduated from high school, she took part in every production of the school. That's how she got into acting and stopped dancing. After graduation, she went to Carnegie Mellon University and studied acting. After two years there she decided not to graduate to focus on her work as an actor. Louisa was raised by the family of four. Lida Jean Wright, Louisa's mom, was American. Her father Robert Henry Krause had a Japanese heritage. Krause has a younger brother known as Nathaniel Krause who is a director for a film company. She loves to spend her free time barbecuing and taking family trips. She has a great deal of emotional attachment to her older brother.
